*Please don't read if you're easily annoyed by goofy newbie posts* 1. Curtains: Can I throw my 84 westy wolfburg beige kinda loose-weave yucky fabric curtains in the washer on the gentle cycle?? Dryer?? I'm planning on sewing some more attractive fabric to the insides of the existing curtains (so I don't have to deal with new holes and hooks and such....) but I don't want to destroy them in the washer. What about the mosquito net for the hatch? Can that go in the washer/dryer?? Or am I better to hand wash all that stuff? 2. Seat covers: My velour seats are pretty nice, but they won't be once they've been around me for a month or two... Where can I get cool looking/fitting seat covers that won't cost me a fortune? 3. Security: What kind of club should I buy for my Westy?? There are clubs for cars, gold extra expensive clubs for cars, big ol' gold sport utility clubs, etc. The guy at the FLAPS (see I'm catching on) said the regular one for cars is fine. Anyone know? What about extra locks, alarms, engine cut-out thingees? I know I read something about this stuff somewhere, but now I can't find it... (I'm not paranoid, I just live in L.A.) 3. Little parts: I need an inside rear view mirror and a knob for my stereo... Any suggestions? 4. The refrigerator seems like a PIA. Would I be truly lazy and worthless if I just put a block of dry ice in there when I travel? Also, I think my sink pump is broken. Is that worth the trouble to fix, or should I just carry a jug of water? 5. I know I'm not the only one who wants a toilet in my van. Suggestions? Smart-aleck remarks? Just tell me when I've worn out my posting privileges... :o) Kristin 84 Westfalia Wolfsburg GL |
