What do you say? >> Hi Johan, you have the .9 oil psi switch by the crank pulley. If you use the 1.8 psi switch, you might have an intermittant oil light coming on while driving, at 2000 RPM or higher. Since the oil psi on these motors at 2000 RPM is around 1.8 bar, this may cause the oil light and buzzer to come on. The 1.8 switch is used on the Golfs and Jettas. Remember, the control unit in the instrument cluster does not ever want to see the .9 switch OPEN at 2000 RPM or higher, ( the .9 bar switch closes from oil pressure between .8 to 1.0 bar ), do you see now how the 1.8 bar switch can screw thing up.
