Subject: Re: coolant temp send wire
Comments: To: Vanagon@Vanagon.com

OK!!! I had been under the van, I had seen the "disk on a post", but I was looking for some kind of spade connector. Even tried to pull the wire to the back side of the thermostat housing just to see if it would reach if I did find a connector...wouldn't reach. Then, I remembered that when we removed the Cat, the wires I thought were disconnected, weren't and they were wire tied to the red/yellow wire. So when I tried to pull the O2 wire it pulled the r/y wire AND moved the whole mess of wire towards the rear of the engine compartment. Once I moved them forward again, and figured out how to connect to a "disk" it all made perfect sense. Went for a ride, temp works, LED stopped flashing after about a mile and the gas gauge finally got up to where it is supposed to be. I'm a Happy Camper!!!!

Thanks to all for your help.
