listees, have been playing around w/ the sliding door for weeks and still can't get it right: when closing door it refuses (vast majority of the time) to grab the second catch on the latch but rather bounces open to the first catch. dealer solution was to adjust the pin so far inboard that the door was only engaging the first latch position! body shop pal played w/ it for 3 hours and came to the same point that i got it to; pin too far out and you get a bad door to panel line as entire door is away from bory by 1/8". too far in and the second latch won't engage and door bounces open to first latch position. simply cannot get it where the door closes easily and latches correctly. btw, van has never been hit or painted.....any suggestions? cheers jim catterson 91 syncro 93 ev gl ny
