Anybody with stories/recommendations/pitfalls/benefits, etc having to do with carrying a generator for electricity when camping in a Westy? Since my '79 lacks propane capability for the fridge, I've become aware of it's limitations when sitting idle (i.e., after maybe 5 hours, the fridge will drain my battery ) So, I've been considering getting a teeny little generator, just enough to run the fridge, and maybe a small ceramic heater if I'm fall/winter camping. Stories, anyone? I'd especially be interested in ideas of where to mount such a machine -- I'm thinking about the front bumper, but maybe that's a bit risky....? Roger |
