-- [ From: John H. Rodgers * EMC.Ver #2.5.02 ] -- Life in the Alaska bush can be the mother of invention. In an emergency(not life threatening - but one might feel that it is when the moment is upon them) I discovered that a sheetrock mud bucket with a garbage can liner (plastic bag) makes a fantastic "porta-potti". When business is done, seal the bag, put the lid on the bucket, and transport to a convenient disposal point. No muss, no fuss, no smell....sealed lid. And if it tips over, the sealed lead prevents any leakage. Add a fresh bag and you are ready for business again.!! They are great!! One could debate for weeks, (like the spring- compression droll) whether it is better to leave off the tires, but have a comode while out on the highway/backwoods, or have tires, but no potty... I'd ride on the bare steel rims. We use a "Porta-Potti", and it is fantastic. In the area just inside the sliding door, we drilled/bolted some small luggage anchors through the bulkhead; we strap down the potti there with some 3/4" wide nylon web strap with a quick-release buckle. I don't know much about other brands, butt (sic ) the porta-potti can take a tumble when "full" and not purge a drop. I'm sold! Whether you are driving down the winding backroads and hear the call of nature, or you have "camped" in a truck-stop parking lot; whether there are many racoons and other butt-biters where you are camping, or you are out running errands in town and can't find a place to "go", there's nothing better than having a potti with you in your camper. You may want to fit curtains, if you don't have them already. We are thinking about fitting some . :) gmbulley cary, nc
