Or maybe I have a whistle in my ducts. At least I got your attention. With the air conditioning system season in full gear I've noticed that I cannot close off my fresh air ducts enough to stop air flow. At around 40 mph the air really starts to whistle. I removed the instrument cluster and radio and adjusted the levers so I could get more pressure on the blend doors, but it made no differencer. Or very little. Since I haven't had the luxury of replacing my front heater core, I was wondering if one of you remember if there if a foam seal on the blend door. If you answer is yes, I have more questions. Can the foam be replaced withour pulling the whole dash apart. Does it use a special type gasket material. Maybe I should put duct tape over the air intake behind the front grill and pull it off this fall. I'm just trying to give the a/c a fighting chance at cooling down this huge box. Any suggestions are appreciated. Doug '86 GL Westy Maryland |
