Oh Wise Listmembers, I have searched the archives and cannot find any previous incident of the fault my 86 Weekender is suffering. The radiator fan simply won't come on. There's 12v getting to the positive connector on the back of the fan but nothing happens. I ohmed out the big green resistor but my meter doesn't read low enough to get an acurate measure....but it's definitely not open. If I connect a wire from the negative fan connector to ground....it runs... I cleaned the ground terminals behind the fuse block, too. I don't have a manual so I can't trace the rest of the circuit. I believe the ground for the motor is routed somewhere besides straight to ground. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Scott De Santi 86 Weekender |
