Still looking, had a used lined up a few months ago, it fell through, reasonable price considered only (hey the van only cost $300). Any year should do.

On an aside, I'm wondering if the real late 25 pin Jetta/Golf Digifant 1 box will work, pinouts from Bentley appear very similar save for the addition of knock sensor on the FWD stuff (actually worth a damn consideration on a 2.1 van) Anybody know, I have one opinion from a local Bug idiot who says NO, but I'm pretty sure he had tried and was speaking of the more common '88-? Jetta/Golf Digifant 2 box which is 37 pin, and he is an idiot. To tell the truth save for the fact the Bentley shows it I've never seen the Digifant 1 in a Golf/Jetta but I'm assuming it will be easier to find than a Vanagon.

John
