Hi, I'm a new subscriber to this list. I do not currently own a VW van (though I did own a Karmann Ghia in the past). I am considering a VW Eurovan (or, possibly a Vanagon) among other vans and would like to get current and past owners opinions on them. I see very few for sale, why? did VW really market them much? Can you still easily get most parts and are the prices reasonable? What are they like in use? Are they reliable? Are they good in winter and summer? Is the automatic transmission good? How do they compare with vans such as the Toyota Previa, Honda Odyssey, Plymouth Town and Country, Nissan Quest etc. ? This is going to be the family's only vehicle and not just used for special trips. Thanks for any advice anyone can offer.
