Did Eric have a warranty from the rebuilder? Did he have a warranty from the installer of the rebuilt engine? Did he have a warranty from VW regarding the *safety* of fueldelivery system under adverse conditions such as engine self-destruction?

After 4000miles of operation did he have any clues on the condition of the engine prior to the moment of self-destruction?

I'm real interested in hearing you expand on what a "good" lawyer can do in this instance? Sue the engine rebuilder? Sue the installer? Sue VW? Sue the oil company whose fuel burned when exposed to flame or hot exhaust parts?

Hopefully Eric's insurance covers consumption of his Vanagon by fire..
