Thanks for the information. Actually, I was surprised that the pickings are so slim for manuals on the water-cooled Vanagons. It makes me miss the old days (late 60s early 70s) when there were three or four manuals good manuals available for most major model of car/van. The VW Repair for the Complete Idiot (is that the right title?) from Muir Publications spurred my interest in VWs to begin with. Oh well.... I ordered the Haynes. All I really needed was instructions on changing coolant (couldn't find it in the archives).
