I hae had the Bently for a few years and have done much work from it. I have also had much confusion from it when it assumed that I had knowledge I did not possess. This is not to fault the Bentley, it is, after all, a FACTROY manual and is not written for us tyros. I have had the Haynes for a couple of weeks now. I have yet to do any work from it but I have looked up some things from past jobs to see if the information agrees or if there were any "tips" offered. While looking through the book my most used phrase was "So THAT's where the %*!@# thing is!". Bottom line: If you are already something of a VW "Brain Surgeon" you will be bored stiff with the Haynes. If you are like many of us and are stumbling through VW internship the Haynes is (at the risk of getting the religion thread going again)a Godsend. If the information in there saves only one trip to the dealer it will have more than paid for itself.
