I want to thank everyone who has responded about my problems with the whining fuel pump and the engine cutting out. I have a mechanic coming to the house on thursday night to help me diagnose the problem. Ken Lewis made an interesting comment and I was wanting to get others advice. If the screen sock in the gas tank is indeed clogged by the polymer lining that I had put in the tank....Would it be possible to punch the sock out with a wire or something and use two fuel filters to catch any debris??? After all, if it remains clogged the only other choice I have, is to get a new tank! I look forward to your opinions! Scott 81 Westy |
