I want to lift the front of my Sycro another 2 to 3 cm so there will be equal distances between the center of the wheels and the top of the fenders. The trick that I always use on VW Golf struts doesn't work with the Syncro struts. To lift the rear of a Golf; remove spring perch from the strut, install 1.5" ID pipe (same ID as the spring perch) that is as long as the desired lift and reinstall the spring perch. The spring perch on the Syncro strut is welded in place so this trick cannot be used. What I need to know is if there is another strut out there that has the same OD as the Syncro strut but with a removeable spring perch. This way I could install the new spring perch on top of the original one. The other catch to this is that the perch must hold the same diameter spring as the Syncro uses to prevent the spring from moving side to side. Forgive the ASCII art...
