What's really fun is to watch Brazilian and South African movies. There's at least one "odd" bus in one of "The Gods Must be Crazy" movies. I rented a video called "Erotique" (rated R, okay?) which was kind of a "Red Shoe Diaries" type anthology. One of the four short stories takes place in Brazil, largely aboard a train (another of my interests). At one point the train stops, and at the road crossing is a VW ambulance: Bay window cab, Split screen Kombi sides (three square windows). In another later scene there's a rear view of another bus: Narrow tailgate, Wrap-around rear quarter windows, '72-'79 sized taillights, bumper overriders. 'Course there's the usual number of VW Fox vehicles as well - but I didn't see any "Brasilias". -Blaine |
