I think it depends on what you have in there. Some you can mix and some not. I am running "Havoline Phosphate Free with Dex-Cool". That "Dex-Cool" makes it incompatable with many other types of anti-freeze although there are some that can be added. These say "Compatable with Dex-Cool" on the label. I cannot say why they are incompatable. Perhaps it is just a marketing angle, perhaps not. It's that "perhaps not" that keeps me from mixing.
