I will be driving across northern Washington State (from West to East) in another few weeks on my way to Northern Idaho. We will ake a day and a half to transit the northern part of the state. I am debating one of two routes and am looking for feedback from anyone who knows either route. I will be returning via Canada, so taking one route going and another on the return isn't an option. Here are the route options: 1. Route 20 from Burlington/Anacortes east through Snoqualamie National Forest, North Cascades National Park Okanogan National Forest to the Grand Coulee Dam. 2. Route 2 from Everett east through Snoqualamie National Forest, Wenatchee National Forest, Leavenworth to Spokane. Which one is more worthy? Is the Grand Coulee Dam worth a detour?
