To  everyone who responded to our woes with their ideas,


Thanks so much!  We got quite a generous outpouring of suggestions and
we've passed them all on to our mechanic, Peter, at the volks cafe.  Our
van is still in the shop and they still don't know what's wrong with
it.  We had it towed in because it was failing regularly.  Now that it's
in the shop they can't get it to fail (this has happened before!)


Anyway, their chief diagnostician is coming back next week and hopefully
he'll be able to thoroughly explore the fuel system (our intuition and
most people's suggestions were in the vein).  Peter also thinks it might
be the computer, but we'll see.


We're not yet confident that they'll find the answer, but if they do,
we'll pass on the info here.
