Hey There,


       I have recently added the "made for Vanagon" trailer hitch and a 400
pound utility trailer.  Total load is about 1000 lbs (luggage, supplies and
stuff).  I've only had a chance to drive it around locally and have noticed
the temp guage running at about 3/4 rather than it's normal 2/3.  I've been
taking it real easy.... 'bout 5 mph under posted limits and giving lots of
leeway for braking.  I attribute the temp rise to the automatic tranny's
intercooler.  Doing and oil change later, too (Mobil 1 15w-50).  It's also hot
as Hades here in middle Georgia so that contributes.  No problems so far...
just have to take it real easy.  Updates to follow.
