Hi,
well the bucking that I had mentioned is possible in all vanagons even the
newer well maintained ones.  There was alot of conjecture as to the cause.
It came down to the ECU there is some "harness" that solved it for some
people.  there have been a few other problems that have caused similar
symptoms.  but this is VIOLENT bucking not that weird bouncy feeling that
you get somtimes, it happens in my golf too, the bounce that is.  It is also
present in my van somtimes.  I don't worry about it personaly.  but if
anyone does know how to solve it please speak up.  I used to think it was my
clutch or gears, their age has always made me worry, but this "bounce" has
had no serious consequences in three years.
