All,

Yes, it's because they're so heavy. Todd, I even got my Syncro Westfalia stuck in soft sand down by Laguna Percebu, south of San Felipe. All four wheels were turning, and just digging the van deeper. I had to air down to 18psi and have two people pushing to get me out. This with four-wheel drive and B.F. Goodrich All-Terrain tires. But that doesn't mean lots of other vehicles wouldn't have gotten stuck, too. I used to take my '68 Westfalia places that made jeep-type people stare in disbelief. Good luck.
