Subject: driving with diff lock engaged

I committed a major faux pas while returning from Montana this week. I've been hanging a litter bag on the diff lock switch on the dash. While stopped for gas, my passenger emptied the litter bag and in doing so, inadvertently engaged the diff lock. I subsequently drove for about 30 miles on the freeway at 75mph before discovering that the diff was locked. This is a definate no-no, but there is no discernable damage as of yet. Maybe I got lucky, maybe problems will surface later, I don't know.
