Subject: FS: '85 Vanagon Engine & Trans

I have a 1.9L engine and auto trans for sale, which I got from a local owner as a package deal along with his Westy. I am going to fix up the Westy but do not need the extra engine and trans. I am asking $600 for the engine, and $350 for the trans, or $850 for both. I would also take an 83-up 4-speed trans as trade or partial trade. I'm in the Philadelphia area, and will not ship them. They are currently removed from the van but are still attached to eachother.

I will tell you all I know about them. They were in a Vanagon with about 130k miles that was hit in the front corner last year. The owner says the van ran just fine until the accident. I was not able to run or drive it myself, so I can only go by his word. However, I can confirm that the van was being driven daily prior to the accident (it was a local van), so it was not taken off of the road for mechanical reasons. Now you know as much as I do about them. I am selling the items as-is.

Thanks, Ron Salmon The Bus Depot http://www.busdepot.com (215) 234-VWVW
