I chose this brand to do my recent refill after flushing. It is phosphate free, and runs about 10.00/gallon. So I buy this stuff, and the guy at the counter says to me: you can't use that - unless you're putting it in a '95 or newer GM" I say: "why?" He says: "it will not mix with other antifreeze" I say "I don't care, I'm flushing the system and replacing the existing coolant" to that he replies: "oh - well that's different - now I'll take your money". I then ask: "if this stuff is so special, will my existing tester (hydrometer) work accurately with it?" He says: "nope - you have to get a special litmus paper tester, and I don't know where you can get 'em". So I'm now left wondering... is this guy full of -it, or do I need re-educated on antifreeze all-together?
