Ok...I've gotten dozens of suggestions on what to do about what I thought was "vanagon syndrome", and then someone told me I couldn't have that cause that's only applicable to digifants.... So... Could someone who's actually had an 84 westy with this problem please tell me what things I should do to try to fix it...and in what order I should try them...?

It runs great... except for....well, it's like this: You're driving down the street, or up a hill, or on the freeway, or anywear the mood strikes it, and suddenly the engine starts sputtering...like you're running out of gas. Then it stops doing it. Then it starts again. Then it stops again. Sometimes I'll drive for two hours without a problem, then it does it for an hour, intermittently . It feels like it's going to stall, but it doesn't. It feels like it must be the fuel injection...or something. It's only when I accelerate. It's driving me nuts!!!

I've had so many suggestions, I'm at a loss as to where to start now, and I'm driving LA>Vegas>San Francisco next week, so I'd love to get it fixed before then. Anyone with experience with my model/year, please tell me what to do!!!

(Thank you everyone who's sent me tips on this before...but I'm still confused!)
