----------------------------- Hi Pete, Thanks for the interest in the digifant tool . The breakout box feature (all pins easily accessible) of the digifant tool would work just as well for the digijet (83.5-85) . The LEDs would require a rewire as the pinouts are different. A tool could be made from the plans at http://taos.midwest.net/vw and leave off the LEDs and resistors. I feel the LEDs are a nice touch to the tool because they give the status of so many things (6) at a glance. However with just the breakout feature one could check the various sensors / controls very easily with a LCD meter. If one made such a tool with just the breakout feature, the tool could be connected to either a digijet or a digifant ECU. I see no 83.5-85 vans in deep Southern Illinois where I live. If some fellow listy wanted to drop by with a willing van, I'm reasonably sure we would have a functional digijet tool LEDs and all, within a days time or less. I could have the tool all made up and maybe even have time left over to do some bass fishing on one of Southern Illinois pristine lakes, if the vans person was so inclined. We have 40 acres and plenty of room to pop the top, or there are many State Parks in the area of which I would choose Giant City State Park. Thanks to all for tolerating my ramblings.

Ps. I have never seen the printed circuit board on a digijet ECU. Would someone who has seen both the digifant and digijet 25 pin circuit board connector note if they have a similar setup. Actually someone could compare the digijet to the pictures of the digifant at http://taos.midwest.net/vw
