does 30k on top of 130k (from the previous owner who said he never had any problems with the van) count as long periods of no trouble? On my syncro, I have had five problems so far.

Bought van at 136K...

1) Cracked wire harness on the distributor allowing signal to short out. at 137K

2) Oil leak due to me over filling the engine by a quart - due to noisy lifters and me not realizing I was checking the oil with the van on an incline

3) Head leak seepage at 166K - was noticed when we camped in 10 degree weather last year... Didn't need to be fixing than as I wasn't losing coolant yet, but I thought I would replace a few noisy lifters at the same time on my own schedule instead on the vans

4) Broken valve due to valve guide not being put in straight by a shop here in the bay area when I brought them the heads to machine when fixing #3 - at 173K

5) Original rubber boots on power steering rack had slight tears in them - at 173K
