spoke w/  dan,  the owner of stebro (who owns a diesel transporter and
just bought a red tdi waterbug).  he said that they will be able to
start shipping mufflers next week.  all of the mufflers will have the
syncro style tailpipe which will be in one piece w/  the muffler,  not
bolt on like the oem design.  otherwise it will bolt directly to the
cat like the oem muffler.  stebro will either supply new mounting
brackets or make sure that the fit is oem quality.  their muffler is
slightly oval in section,  not round like stock.  the remainder of the
system will be ready to ship in early september.  i am much more
comfortable w/  this company,  now that i know that the owner is a
multiple vw owner!   i am going to purchase the muffler first,  as my
tailpipe is shot and the muffler is going fast.  will wait a bit to
get the remainder....lessens the $$ bite somewhat.  the price was
originally quoted at $220-240 for the muffler
