If the seller isn't willing to let a mechanic look at everything, don't touch it. Also, even though the test drive may go wonderfully, have the mechanic look over the brakes. If at all possible, have him remove one front and one rear wheel to get a look at things. I wish I had done this before I bought my '81 Vanagon. Now that I have it, I have to completely replace all the brake components on the wheels. Just be carefull, Joe Denison |
