Mac, Sounds like you have some air in the brake system. It needs to be bled. If pushing the pedal to the floor does work, then it is probably safe to drive home (very carefully leaving extra stopping room.) Simply adding fluid will not correct this as air is already in the lines. If you want to bleed the brakes before driving home, bring a friend, a 7mm wrench, and a short length of 1/4" clear tubing (Aquarium air hose is great). By the way, if you're not familiar with it, the brake fluid reservior is located under the instrument hood behind the speedo. Good luck and congratulations. Vernon |
