Alas, I, too, hate beer and am a non-wrench (so far) listee. Like Susan I tried to like beer, but failed. Wine is my thing. For the sake of the Vanagon I am checking out wrenches and looking into auto mechanics courses, but you can only do so much for love of Vanagon. Ok, if I absolutely had to drink beer for it, I would at least think about it - maybe a German Beer? BTW, thanks again to all the listees who helped in my earlier requests. Johann, the Vanagon and I and my two Lhasa Apso dogs made two long camping trips with no problems at all. Went to dog shows in Massachusetts and up in New Hampshire and Vermont and had a wonderful time. I got a small 3X3 enclosed trailer to put all the dog gear into, and while towing it with the a/c on still got almost 19 mpg! The refrigerator worked great once I remembered to fill the propane tank for the second and longer trip. The Vanagon performed flawlessly on both trips. It is a joy to drive and camp in! :) Maureen Stretch Natick, Mass. 91 Vanagon GL Westy "Johann" |
