There is a trick to eliminating the delay...(three part): First, use the 30-45 amp relay/clean power source I discussed (prev. post). It is an absolute must for the compressor to run at high speed. Second, the tubes from the compressor to the horns MUST be as short as possible. Mine are about an 1.25". Any longer, and the compressor has to compress all of the air in the tubes before the horn blows. Delay. Third, once a year, lubricate the compressor. Gently stuff a small rag in each trumpet, have a buddy press the horn button, an squirt a heavy oil into the air intake of the comressor while it is running. I use a 50/50 mix of moly grease and motor oil. Allow the excess to come out the trumpets, then remove the rags. Then annoy your neighbors by blowing the horn for a few seconds to clear out any excess. Works like a charm. BLLLLAAAAAATTTTTTTTT!!! BLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT!!! gmbulley cary, nc |
