Found out, finally, where the high-pressure line gauge connector is located. Unscrewed the hi-low pressure switch and VOILA!!! This evening, we spent 45 min evacuating, 15 min watching the gauge for any indication of a leak and then started filling the system. Noted on the cans of 134 the warning about sudden death upon inhalation. Encouraging. Well, just before the 3rd can was evacuated, the, uh, BOOM occurred. A great cloud of 134 gas engulfed the entire van. Blew out the HP hose just forward of the firewall. I'm open for suggestions. Is there a way to splice the hose that might get out of here Friday for a couple of weeks? BOB - thinking about rebuilding the tranny next month, for the "fun" of it. ps-CQ, CQ, CQ de WA4RRN |
