My 1972 bus crapped out the first time I decided to go look at a Vanagon (aircooled-sunroof). It got really ignorant about it, so I got a 1981 Westy and I am now stripping the 1972 for parts (which I would not have done if it had not quit running). Karma indeed - life is a circle, and what comes around goes around. The Vanagon Westy is a much better vehicle than the old busted bus. Somedays you get the bus, some days the bus gets you... ;)
