Hey David,

I was trying to put a happy face on the whole deal for you. I was trying to inspire you to attempt greater things, to live large Vanagon style. I have failed miserably obviously, completely contrary to my intent. Does this mean I won't be invited up to the house for free beer? If I send you my address will you send me the free beer anyway? If you live within the AAA free towing radius of my house I can drive my Vanagon over and pick the beer up.

Seriously David, I'm hoping all these back and forth barbs are being taken and given in the lighthearted playful spirit of Vanagonoging on your end just as they are being delivered on our end. Think of it as initiation into the cult. Someone will send you the special purple robe and 3/8 inch ratchet wrench later.

To hold up your end of the deal you really must buy that first Vanagon though. If it turns out to be the ride to hell after all, just leave it beside the road somewhere with the keys in the ignition and someone who needs it to rob filling stations and convenience stores will surely find it and appreciate it. Thats what I call Win-Win all around.

Glad to be of help in the decision making process,

Sincerely,

Carl Turner 84 and 85 Westy (I dunno why)
