I have 84 westy: 1. it has 2nd compartment for another battery. I heard I need deep cycle. Any particular amps and do I need special items to connect battery? I only want to use for minimal stuff like radio and lights. Also can I use a small deep cycle like for motorcycles? The compartment seems small and my battery needs are minimal. When I look in compartment, it has never had a second battery in there although there are some wires but I don't think these wires are made for 2nd battery.

2. 1st compartment for regular battery - it seems to have lots of corrosion and paint is peeling. How do you prevent this?
