David, It seems to me you would have enough information by now to make a decision. The fact is, if you buy a Vanagon or a used EV you are going to have to pay attention to detail and spend some time under the hood, so to speak. These are not low-maintenance vehicles. A person who buys one of these has to be prepared to spend time and money on them. The best route for those who want a carefree driving experience is to buy a Honda or something similar.
