Well, David, I think you just answered your question about whether to buy a Vanagon or not. Go get one of those "lumps of steel, tin, aluminum and plastic without any supernatural powers whatsoever" called a Previa. You will be much happier no matter what your experiences are with it. Vanagons can sense your feelings, and you would have nothing but trouble with one, guaranteed! Larry
