Three years ago I owned a French spec '85 Westy, it had a box behind the passenger seat that matched the Westy interior with a nice cushion seat on top of the box. We used it a lot and miss it on our current (Canadian) 91 Westy. I have been looking for a box to sit behind the passenger's seat but almost all of the plastic 'boxes' (of the RubberMaid type) were not strong enough to sit on.

Well, I just found a good plastic box in the gardening section of Canadian Tire store (our FLAPS) and it is made by STEP2 Co: 10010 Aurora-Hudson Road, StreetsBoro Ohio, 44241 and is model 5823. or: http://www.step2company.com/ or, 800-347-8372

Unfortunately, I could not find this model on their web page (and they have not answered my email).

It is about the right size to fit behind the seat (and square) and the colour matches the two tone grey interior that I have, AND it is strong enough to sit on (I'm about 200 lbs). I put some non-skid pads under it to help hold it in place.

Just FYI, Malcolm S
