Howdy I have Dexron pouring from both ends of the steering rack. I assume this means it is time for a replacement. I have a '86 Westy with 137,000 miles on it. The FLAPS(NAPA) can get me a short rack for 278.00. I know this is higher than BusDepot but I can charge the rack to the "farm" account(Hey, I haul farm supplies in it all the time!!) and get it without paying out of pocket. A rack with the tie rods and connector is substantially more. So much more that I believe I would pay out of pocket to Bus Depot before charging that much(I do have a conscience, I just misplace it a lot.) How necessary is it on a chassis with this much mileage to replace the tie rods, connectors, etc.? Is the short rack all I need? What do y'all recommend? What are BusDepot prices for steering racks? Couldn't find any on the website.

Thanks, Dan Hall
