Ummm...the seats may be the "same" to you but the front ones in the campers as well as the single optional center seat are smaller, ie shorter, in the fore-aft dimension.

Similar, maybe, but NOT same size...since we've been blessed with a vanagon and a camper of the same model year ('85s and now 90/91s), I've always appropriated the passenger front seat from the van and exchanged it with my camper driver's seat. The small difference in size (1" in fore-aft length and width) makes a big difference in comfort for me...
