Chip, when it was running without the deflectors in hot outside conditions the needle on the guage was at or just above the small red light on the guage. After I installed the deflectors the needle has never gone into the area of the red light. The highest I have seen it so far is just touching the edge of the red light. Best description I can give you. Hope this helps.
