For those of you who can't afford a Reimo, just wanted to let you know- We took our first trip with our new Cabela's Deluxe Truck Tent. It worked really well I'd say, though it's certainly not designed for a Vanagon. I bought 6 small-sized spring clamps at the hardward store and clamped the top to the rain gutter. The strap that comes with it attaches the bottom nicely under the bumper. There were a couple of gaps that I closed with some creative clamping using the other 4 spring clamps. I used a rope loop attached to the tow hooks to lower the tailgate some. I don't think it would work with it all the way up. They're on sale right now for $179.
