I took the westy syncro out for a long weekend of camping and driving. Boy do I love Westys! Only one problem occurred. On the third day, when we started driving there was an immediate problem. I could not cruise. Acceleration was fine but when I tried to maintain a speed in a few seconds the engine would drop rpm like I had let the gas off. If I pushed the pedal a bit more it would accelerate fine. If I did nothing with the pedal it would start to buck until I did let of the gas or gave it more. It did this even after it was warm but once I got out on the highway it was fine, but this may be because I was going up hill over a pass for the next 20 miles, i.e always accelerating-or trying :- ). After I got over the pass it was trouble free all the way home. Seem like it could be a throttle sender or deceleration fuel shut off valve? Thanks in advance Nat sunny and hot Seattle 91 west syncro
