Being from the same Horny ilk as you, I have replaced the horn on virtually every vehicle I have owned in pursuit of a more melodious, yet powerful blast.

My horn of choice is a triple-trumpet air horn, which I mount (on the van) underneath the passenger footwell, with the small electric compresor nestled in amoungst the three horns. The trumpet sizes are (roughly) 14", 11", & 8", which i think is (musical notes) F, A, & F octave. There are four note varieties of F, A, C, F octave that sound GREAT, too. You can get these at most FLAPS, or through JC Whitney, and the quality (despite the brand or cost) is always the same, about $40-50 for good quality. I have never had one fail or wear out.

A word of caution: you MUST install a 30-45 amp relay, and supply that relay with a big fat nasty positive wire, with good, clean, soldered contacts, and a clean line to the battery/alternator. DO NOT run this horn directly off the horn button. The compressor pulls mega-amps (estimate), and needs the juice (not OJ, who incidently is doing a fantastic job of finding "the Real Killer").

Have a blast,
