I use home made magnetic screens on the front cab windows in my '74. They don't look so hot, but work well. I just put them on the inside.

Instead of snaps, why not use magnets, or even velcro. You should be able to buy everything you need at the hardware store.

On related note, I just ordered snap in side door screens from Germany.

These come as kit. You install the snaps in the opening, and there is a center zipper.

The great part is that you can leave it in place if you want to close your door. You can't do that with the magnetic screens.

I have 2 of these on order. One is for the Vanagon, and the other for the Eurovan. I plan on having these copied here in the US. They are rather expensive at $150 ea.

It may be a month or two before these are available.

Stay tuned.

BTW, anyone want to buy 5 cupholders that do not fit late Vanagons?
