Dear Listmembers, List traffic seems a little slow this week so I thought I'd try to stimulate it a little... Questions regarding my recently purchased '85 Westy: 1. Should I be concerned with a engine compression ratio of #1 150 #2 150 #3 125 #4 150 - regardless of the numbers it runs great. 2. Where would I order a new knob for my stove? I've checked the online parts lists to no avail. Is it simply not listed? 3. There is a lot of rust around the propane tank although no holes are apparent. Should this concern me? The underbody was treated and is fine. 4. My wife and I would like to have what little rust there is on the body repaired and have the body repainted in it's original Savannah Beige Clearcoat Metallic. Should we get it touched up or completely repainted? What should we expect to pay for this and who should we trust with such work? Maaco? 5. I have another question about the cruise control which came with it but will ask it after I look at the documentation which came with it. It doesn't work and I am not sure how to get it working again. I'll be more specific when I know the make and model of the device. TIA, Chris Chris R. Rowland '85 Westy 4 spd |
