Ok, if Marcus admits it, than I do too. Happened to me in rabbit pickup. Took off from St Petersburg heading to Tampa, drove about 15 miles, almost home tooling along at 65 on interstate. Slow traffic in fast lane, I hit the brakes and absolutely nothing. Frantically pump the pedal just enough to avoid rear ending cars ahead. So now I'm driving down the interstate keeping a very large distance between me and the cars ahead wondering what the heck happened. Wasn't till I got home, parked the truck and tried to pull the EM only to realize it was already half way up. I figured the heat boiled the fluid. Went inside and forgot about it. Next day all was fine. Haven't even pulled the wheels off. If your brakes don't work afterwards, just bleed them and look for any leaks, of course. Brake shoes and drums will probably be glazed, but hey, most braking is done by front brakes anyway, right? |
