Do fuel pumps get tired ? Or do they just stop working. Has anyone had an occaision where the pump works intermittently, like a poor ground or broken wire. Mine always starts well, but at times I get something like a miss or a studder for awhile(1/2 hour), then disappears. During hwy driving and at cruising speed all is well, but if you have to slow down, the engine rpm is rough descending(all gears), then accelerating up to speed is rough or studders until you level off and stay at a certain speed for awhile(part throttle). Engine load seems to trigger this. I have checked so many areas of this 2.1 short of tearing it apart. Also I have noticed and this could be coincidence, but if the tank is down half and I top it up, it runs better. Thanks. Tired syncro owner. R.Feuerriegel 88 syncro |
